CHECKUPS
Each of our dogs has an annual health check and a pre-breeding check with the veterinarian before mating.
VACCINATIONS
Mums will pass on immunity to their puppies through their milk, so being up to date with vaccinations is important so that the antibody levels are at their peak.
WORMING AND PARASITES
Mums can pass roundworms and hookworms onto unborn puppies, so we believe in staying safe and treating her with a worming product that is also safe to use during pregnancy. (Mini will be wormed again 2 weeks before her due date).
PROPER NUTRITION
One of the most important things is making sure Mums to be receive proper nutrition. Key for growth and development of the puppies.
CARING
When caring for our pregnant dogs, we believe in regular walks and exercise and keeping up with her routine. We will walk in familiar places and any exercise will not be overly strenuous. This will keep up our bitches strength. We still travel but our pregnant dog will only be visiting familiar environments and her primary contacts' will be with familiar people and dogs to minimise stressful situations. Our pregnant bitch will still have a training routine, but we will avoid any intensive training and any over-stimulation.
